I am a solid conservative Republican and hold the following Republican Party positions. I also support candidates who support these same positions:
  • Strong national defense – at home and abroad
  • Strong economy
  • Limited government.
  • Lower taxation.
  • Respect for human life.
  • Support 2nd amendment rights.
  • Oppose illegal immigration.
I support party registration in Virginia.

My personal and work background:

  • Grew up in McLean, graduated from Langley High School.
  • Graduated from Virginia Tech.
  • Served a 20 year career in the U. S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer.
  • Worked as a Defense Consultant for 3 years after the Navy.
  • Served over 4 years in the Bush Administration in the Iraq Reconstruction Offices – in the Departments of Defense, State, and the Army.
  • Departed government service and joined a large engineering and construction firm as the Washington, DC, area representative to the Department of Defense.
My political background:
  • Over 12 years grassroots experience in Virginia politics, first while living in Virginia Beach as I was transitioning out of the Navy.
  • Helped Delegates such as Bob McDonnell in 1999 when the GOP took majority in the House of Delegates.
  • Served as the Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia Beach.
  • Ran for the Virginia State Senate in 2003 for the 32nd Senate District – McLean, Great Falls, and parts of Herndon and Falls Church.
  • Political appointee in the Bush Administration in the Department of Defense from 2003 to 2007.
  • Served as the Dranesville District Chairman for the Fairfax County Republican Committee.
  • Elected to the State Central Committee at the 2008 10th District Convention.
